I just uploaded a video from a recent Historical Tea and Dance class, where I finally got to play with the FUNtastic Audrey Jaber. She was one of my primary inspirations during the year-which-shall-not-be-named, and set me on the path to learning how to play this new-to-me style of music that I adore. English Country Dance.

I decided to load it unedited so you can see my flub at the beginning. I was supposed to play a 2-note intro but didn’t quite get it. You can see James stop (or rather not start) the dance and Audrey coach me. Then I started again, and all was well.

I decided to show the full 8 minutes of Ties of Love because it is such a soothing, relaxing tune, and the dancers are lovely. I hope you will enjoy watching and listening.

On screen with Audrey and me is Djuna Copley-Woods on fiddle, penny whistle, and bohdrum. Off screen is Ben Knorr-Byron on guitar.
